Happy National Volunteer Week! This is a big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers without whom so many organisations (including ours) simply wouldn’t be able to function. National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities and to say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer. Heritage Hill is run by a small staff ably assisted by a dedicated group of volunteers. Today I would like to introduce you to two volunteers who have been with us for 18 years, Maria and Ernie. They popped by this morning so I took the opportunity to ask them a couple of questions.
