On Sunday we had the charming and talented Rick Charles here for a special Sunday concert to round off our Seniors Week festivities. 
It was supposed to be Golden Treasures in the Garden, but as you can see we had to revert to plan ‘B’ for the location as it was raining steadily for most of the afternoon. Clearly however, nobody minded!
Rick was great with the crowd and had them laughing and singing along to wonderful hits by Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, Conny Francis, Englebert Humperdinck and of course, the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis.
At the end of the show, a lady came up to me and told me that Rick was “…gorgeous and he made me happy. He’s made us all happy” which was lovely. Thank you to everyone who came along to sit inside, all warm and snug, and sing along to our favourite tunes of yesteryear.

Thanks for your comment. It was a really lovely afternoon and everyone was smiling as they left. We had some great feedback from the event, I think it was one of the hits of the year!
